Greg and Nancye run The Camellia Motel in Narrandera

We had such a great time on the trip there, and were spoilt whilst we were there! Nancye cooked the kids bacon and eggs for breakfast every day.... Well those kids which were up BEFORE 10AM each morning... (i.e Jasmine and Shannen didnt have B & E each morning....)
The trip up was about 6 1/2 hours (maybe a little more)... 20 minutes into the trip, Steph started asking are we nearly there yet, so I knew it was going to be a long trip.
First we stopped at Goulburn, and saw The Big Merino
(These photo's were actually taken on the trip home...) we couldnt find the camera when we went through there on the way...
The Big Merino used to be in the middle of Goulburn, but was recently moved to a more "Tourist Friendly Location" LOL
The kids didnt beleive it when I told them we were going to see a big sheep!
Our next stop was at Gundagai for dinner, I think the kids were disappointed in the size of the The Dog on the Tuckerbox, after the Big Marino I think they were expecting something 'BIG'
The kids threw coins in the fountain, and made a wish!

After nearly 7 hours in the car with the outside temp hitting the high 30's we welcomed and took advantage of the facilities when we arrived!
Steph and Kane (the shadow underwater) in the Pool at the Camellia Hotel.
Steph being a Ballerina in the Pool!
Kane trying on his new goggles that he made me go and buy - (They were 'crap' apparently! LOL they let the water in, so were then used for a retreival game from the bottom of the pool!)
Another new day took us to see The Big Guitar.... (Located in the Tourist Information Centre)
I love the second photo of kane looking into the guitar! hehehehe
Kane at the big guitar
Wonder how this works......
Steph and her things to do....(notice all the pamphlets in her hands of what she wanted to do! LOL
We also found a Skate park, to Kane and Stephs delight! They just so happened to bring their skateboard/skates with them!
Kane checkin out the ramps
And now ripping up the turf
Trying out the ramps
Apparently the skate park is just near the hospital!! (We found this out later)
Too hot to go to the water park as planned, we had to skip this today, and just tried to keep out of the 42 degree temperatures....
The next day we did head out to the water park! Although the kids were upset because we were going on a 'cold' day....(I guess after a 42 degree day the previous day, low 30's was a bit cold)
(I even had on my flannelette shirt on)
( Above pic is from the website)
The kids had such a wonderful time, there are heaps of photo's from the water park.... (Sorry)
The rampage....
OK so the rampage is one big arse slippery dip into the pool.....You have to carry a heavy arse fibreglass board up all those stairs, and you sit on the board (similar to toboggen) and as you hit the water you fly across the water.....Looked awesome fun, but I was not quite game enough to try it myself!
Kane.....Will I brave the rampage????
Yes he did it!
Kane Going down the Rampage
Steph....Will I be able to do that one???
To give you an idea on how steep this slippery dip is, I climbed the stairs and took a photo looking down the slide.... Then walked back down the stairs :-) to get on dry land....
Steph on the Rampage - From the TOP
The rampage looking down from the TOP
And to better understand, this is how far you glide across the pool after your 'taboggan' hits the water...
Kane on his 'sled' of the Rampage
Jaz on her 'Sled' on the rampage
Shannen on her sled on the rampage
And the rapids
Shannen, Jasmine and a random on the rapid slide
Quick- Check your hair!
Steph on the rapids....
Steph loved the rapids she spent most of the day on here....
And back up for another ride hehehe
Jaz and Kane playing nicely together....
The kids playing on the tube... Jaz, Shannen and Kane (Steph was back on the rapids water slide....again)
Kane Jaz & Shannen
OOOps, Kane Gone....Shannen and Jaz on the tube
Kane playing on the Tube!
Steph, contemplating what to do next.....
OK so I am still wondering why the kids thought it was great to be feeding KIDS through the fence of the pool! LOL
OK SO REMEMBER ME MENTIONING THAT WE DISCOVERED THE HOSPITAL WAS RIGHT NEAR THE SKATE PARK?????
So Steph had a lovely time on the rampage, after the 4th of 5th time, as she hit the water, (at great speeds) she fell of the taboggan and it hit her in the back of the neck and then lower back.. She was pretty much in a lot of pain and we packed up and went back to the motel immediatly. On arriving to the motel, Steph went straight to slept, and I discussed the situation with Haym, and were advised to bring her up to the hospital..
So I have to include a photo of the Naranderra Hospital.....We can not go anywhere without visiting the local!
Narrandera Hospital!
So Steph has bruising and was very sore, but with the aid of some much neededPanadol has pretty much made a full recovery.
SAYING GOODBYE
Is always the hardest part about visiting family, and it was with great regret that we couldnt stay longer.
