A BLOG TO DIE FOR.........

Since I started this blog a few years ago, I always wanted my blog to be 'one of those blogs'. The ones that I frequent. You know the blogs that you check every day, because the author is creating a very exciting experience that you want to be included in! The type of blog that you cant wait to read every morning.
Mine has never been like that! I have come up with the 5 top reasons why mine is not like that!
5. Because I dont update it every day!
4. Because I generally write about my kids, including too many photos
3. Because I am not a poetic writer!
2. Because I dont think anyone except aunty Nancy reads it!
1. Because my life is just not that interesting!
But I can always dream that one day, I will have more than one follower.

Can you please leave a comment if you have checked in.

CANCER HAS BITTEN US............Losing Friends..... In Memory Of Paul.....

This past week we have been hit by the cancer bug....

No I am not talking about the sad passing of Jane McGrath, which is a tragedy in itself and has put a cloud over most of Australia.... It has hit a lot closer to home for us.

A dear friend, someone who was beside Haym and myself, as we proudly showed off our newborn Shannen, who was there when we introduced Toni to the world, who attended our engagement party and then our wedding, who raced by our sides when our lives fell apart after losing Toni, who joined in our celebration when we were again blessed with another daughter.

Paul Clancy was a much loved friend, the father of a great friend of Haym's as he was growing up. Paul fought cancer bravely for several years, and last Friday, we were told that treatment had not been as successful as earlier thought. He was given 6 weeks. After speaking to his son and telling them we would catch up during the week, we never got the chance. Paul passed away 2 days later with his loving family by his side.

Paul was honored on Thursday at a heartbreaking funeral and a eulogy he would have been proud of by his son Steven.

Our hearts are with the Clancy Family, at this hard time.

I would also like to say a special mention of another friend who has also been given a Cancer Time Line, last week.

Ken was last week given 3 weeks, after a private struggle with the disease which he hid from his family and friends.

Dear friend of ours, Brother-in-Law to Bake and Shane, Father to Natalie and Jessica, Ex Husband to Michelle.

Hang in there MATE, Ken you mean so much to so many, Keep your chin up.

XOX

This post would not be complete without me mentioning a very dear and special work collegue, Judi as well.

Judi has been wonderful to me at work and without her support, Im not sure i would still be there.

Love to You Judi
