A BLOG TO DIE FOR.........

Since I started this blog a few years ago, I always wanted my blog to be 'one of those blogs'. The ones that I frequent. You know the blogs that you check every day, because the author is creating a very exciting experience that you want to be included in! The type of blog that you cant wait to read every morning.
Mine has never been like that! I have come up with the 5 top reasons why mine is not like that!
5. Because I dont update it every day!
4. Because I generally write about my kids, including too many photos
3. Because I am not a poetic writer!
2. Because I dont think anyone except aunty Nancy reads it!
1. Because my life is just not that interesting!
But I can always dream that one day, I will have more than one follower.

HARD CALL

I have posted previously about the school reunion that I am planning, 20 years out of school. Well within the planning of this reunion, I made a hard phone call, a really hard call for me to make. It was suggested to me that we should have a memorial for those who attended school with us but are no longer here anymore.

In about year 8 or 9 there was a girl in our year (who didnt like me AT ALL) who was hit by a drink driver on New Years Eve, Rachel Dawes was her name.

When I lost Toni a friend gave me a book that was written by the compassionate friends chapter in Nowra. The mother of this class mate was one of the people who contributed to the book. I was amazed in what I read from her....

I rang this bereaved mother this morning. Asking her if it would be OK if we showed some photo's of her daughter at the reunion... as part of a memorial. I can imagine the call was quite a shock out of the blue for her. She took it quite well...considering. I am NOT suprised that she is still missing her daughter and thinks about her every single day.

I know of one other person from our year who has passed away, happens to be the Brother In Law of (my sister in law's best friend. So I am sure they will be able to help.... I think it would be a great tribute to them.

We may even put in a tribute to our little ones, as there are quite a few who have lost children too.....
