A BLOG TO DIE FOR.........

Since I started this blog a few years ago, I always wanted my blog to be 'one of those blogs'. The ones that I frequent. You know the blogs that you check every day, because the author is creating a very exciting experience that you want to be included in! The type of blog that you cant wait to read every morning.
Mine has never been like that! I have come up with the 5 top reasons why mine is not like that!
5. Because I dont update it every day!
4. Because I generally write about my kids, including too many photos
3. Because I am not a poetic writer!
2. Because I dont think anyone except aunty Nancy reads it!
1. Because my life is just not that interesting!
But I can always dream that one day, I will have more than one follower.

Can you please leave a comment if you have checked in.

Fountain Of Youth - Lessons Of Life!

Today is Sunday, Our BUM day. Usually we go to Mother In Laws (MIL) for a bar-b-que. Today is a usual day! We will be heading off there around 11.30is (as usual) kids will swim in the pool, adults will drink all day, (cept me cos I am the one who will drive home and have to pick Shannen up from work (as usual). And pretty much we will just BUM the day away! Although I am hoping to take lots of photos of the kids today, to post here for Aunty Nancy, and Aunty Linda!

On another note, I have reconnected to FACE BOOK and I am loving it again. I have contacted / been contacted with so many old school friends. It is amazing, catching up again after over 20 years, But I am wondering how lots of the people I went to school with managed not to age over the last 20 years. Did they find some secret Fountain Of Youth, maybe an Elixer Of Life.

Reading what some of my class mates have done over the past 20 years, I think of What I HAVENT done.

  • I havent travelled to wonderful and Exotic Places.
  • I havent done any amazing and daring jobs.
  • I havent even met weird and crazy people and become lifelong and long distance friends.

But you know what, I have done some things and met people I would not change for the world.

  • I have travelled a little,
  • I jumped out of an aeroplane
  • I had great friends (and boyfriend) at school (Hey Picko's), who I dont manage to catch up with anymore.
  • I have been surrounded by my wonderful family, who have always been there to offer support and help when I needed it.
  • I met and married my solemate, who has supported and loved me unconditionally over the past 15 years.
  • I have watched my first beautiful daughter, grow from a tiny baby into a beautiful and talented nearly 16 year old. Who this year is doing Year 10 and next year will travel to (Italy) OOOPS I MEAN FRANCE! for a 2 month Student Exchange.
  • I have had the honour of caring for my Beautiful Angel Toni, sharing her love and life for nearly 4 years and suffering the heart ache of losing her so suddenly. I have been given the courage and strength to fight for Toni and stop other mums, dads and families from losing their children in the same way.
  • I have had the experience of RAISING A BOY! so much different from my girls! and continue to learn the joys of raising Boys. (And learning the ins and outs of school suspension lol) Etc. And continue to learn daily!
  • I have had the pleasure of raising my last child with the experience and lessons learnt from the mistakes i made from the first 3 hehehehe
  • I have learnt how to be a mum and a full time career woman and how to juggle working life and family life and still be able to enjoy time with my loving and supportive husband.
  • I have felt the unconditional love and support of my husband, the father of my kids and personal Chef!
  • The support of great friends, who have been there for me during my good times and my bad. Cath, Kat just to name a few.
  • Great bosses and supportive work mates.
  • A wonderful Mother and Father In Law, super Brother in law (Andy) who I love to bits, great 'sisters' Lindy and Hatty who love me like they do their own sister-(nearly).
  • My own sisters, Nikki, Hailey and Cindy, who offer me so much support, fun, and joy that I wouldnt be able to live without! and My only Brother Anthony, who I do not see enough of.
  • And mostly my MUM and DAD, who have suffered so much themselves with disease, injury, and illness, but still are always only a phone call away, If i need them.
So I have come to the decision that I am the one who has much more than those who have travelled the world. Enjoyed the high life. I have family and friends that will last forever!
